About Belemnites
A belemnite fossil is the bullet-shaped internal skeleton (rostrum) of an extinct, squid-like cephalopod that lived in ancient seas. These marine animals, which also possessed features like tentacles with hooks, an ink sac, and large eyes, were common predators during the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods before their extinction around 66 million years ago.
Properties:
In mystical circles, opal is considered a stone representing hope, innocence and purity. It has strong connotations of happiness, faithfulness, loyalty and confidence. Regarded as a powerful sea stone for safety on the water.
